Buckden Towers Wedding Photography | K&C

Today we are delighted to attend the wedding of Kristina and Chris, at Buckden Towers in Cambridgeshire. Such a unique venue with lots of history.  The site boasts not one but two churches, both Protestant and Catholic and it was in St Hugh’s Catholic Church that the ceremony took place, followed by a reception party, held in a marquee on the grounds of Buckden Towers itself. 

Photos were taken around the site but particularly in Queen Katherine of Aragon’s private, walled gardens.  It was here at Buckden Towers that King Henry Eighth exiled Katherine after their divorce in 1533 and where she lived for many years after their split. The gardens are beautiful with the tower and one of the Church’s spires creating a magnificent backdrop.  It was a scorching hot day and the vintage ice cream bicycle was a huge hit when it arrived later in the day. What a beautiful wedding on such a beautiful summers day.
